Compassion Counts: A Community Forum Exploring Stress and Anxiety in Adults and Children


A compassionate group of community organizations have partnered to facilitate an evening of education and interactive dialogue on stress and anxiety. This event is for adults, parents of all-aged children and community leaders along the upper and lower Middlesex County. Entitled Stress and Anxiety, Oh My! this event will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5:30-8:00pm at the St Francis of Assisi Church (Parish Center), 10 Elm St., Middletown, CT. Attendees will learn the difference between stress and anxiety; how to recognize it in themselves, their children and teens; and what to do about it. They will also have the opportunity to engage in a compassionate conversation with experts as well as people with real-life experience. Additionally, there will be organizations present to provide information on support services available in Connecticut for people of all ages. Light refreshments will be served. This event is FREE for the public. For planning purposes, we ask that you pre-register. Attendees are invited to ask questions, share their stories, and learn more about this topic.
