Waukesha Night of Lights Tree Lighting and Lantern Stroll
Please join the Waukesha Downtown Business Association, the City of Waukesha Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Waukesha, and the City of Waukesha in kicking off the holiday season with our tree lighting, lantern stroll through Downtown Waukesha, & Walk of Lights illumination ceremony at Riverfront Plaza.
Order of Events
The order of events is subject to change as the event comes closer.
Downtown Tree Lighting
5:30 p.m. at The Rotunda
Kick off the holiday season with our annual tree lighting. There will be music, hot chocolate, and, of course, Santa!
Lantern Stroll & Caroling
Following Tree Lighting
Once the tree is lit, light your lanterns and follow Santa as we stroll through Downtown Waukesha and carol our way to Riverfront Street.
Walk of Lights Lighting Ceremony
6:15 P.M. at Riverfront Plaza (Old Bus Depot)
The Night of Lights concludes on Riverfront Street as we light the Walk of Lights. Stick around after the lights are on for treats, giveaways, and the chance to meet Santa!
Parking & Street Closings
Road closures will occur along the caroling and event route in Downtown for the Night of Lights celebration. No vehicles will be able to park along roads in the closure area after 3:00 p.m. After 4:30 pm, no traffic will be able to enter/exit the event area. As the event moves towards the river, roads will start to open up around the Rotunda and on Main Street.
Free 2-hour parking for the event is available at the South Street Parking Ramp (241 South Street - Closest to Tree Lighting) and the Transit Center Parking Ramp (212 E. St. Paul Avenue - Enterance is on Brook Street. This is also the closest ramp to Walk of Lights where the event concludes).
