This fall, Aqimero by Chef Richard Sandoval invites guests to honor life, family, and heritage with a vibrant Día de los Muertos celebration. From October 1st - November 3rd, Aqimero will offer a special limited-time menu inspired by the moon’s guiding presence, a nod to Mesoamerican lore where lunar deities symbolize fertility, healing, and the crossing between worlds. The Día de los Muertos menu will showcase dishes and drinks designed to nourish both body and spirit, with flavors and presentations that reflect the comforting warmth of tradition and the meditative glow of night. Highlights include: Signature Cocktails Living Spirit - tequila, ancho reyes, nixta tamarind, agave, black salt,blue corn tortilla, chipotle tuile Moon’s Embrace - bourbon, abasolo, cacao liqueur, abasolo cocoa, café de olla orange bitters, rose, obleas Moonlit Waters - hibiscus, balsamic vinegar, cinnamon, beetroot, agave, guava, soda Featured Dishes Calabaza en Tacha - pumpkin natilla brulée with piloncillo pepita compote and cinnamon ice cream Ofrenda de Cempasúchil - lamb tenderloin with creamy purple potato mash, roasted heirloom carrots, charred ashes, and smoky chipotle hibiscus sauce Guests can gather around communal tables to savor these vibrant offerings alongside shareable plates and seasonal cocktails that embody the essence of remembrance and gratitude.
