Witches' Walk and Reception
Did you know that the only witch trial in Vermont occurred in Pownal? Come hear more about this fascinating historical event and honor the Widow Krieger with a walk across the river where it happened. The walk is hosted by the Pownal Historical Society. Spectators and participants are invited to gather at 12:45pm. Costumes are encouraged!
After the walk, there will be a procession to the cemetery to place flowers on Widow Krieger's grave. Then, follow us to the Solomon Wright Public Library around 2:30pm to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Pownal Historical Society and to reflect on their many accomplishments through the years. We will have music by The Real Jazz Trio, featuring Dave Banulis on guitar, Art Amuso on bass, and Bob Vacca on drums, and light refreshments. Free event and all are welcome!
