Will Kempe's Players stage Dan Smirlock's sleek adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The production-- in the round--uses early modern theatre practices to stage this shortest of Shakespeare's tragedies as a domestic tragedy--the personal controlling the political. But all the features and complexities remain--witches, swordplay, madness, and of course, murders. Adult themes and violence--in an intimate setting-- make this an event best suited for very mature middle-schoolers on up.
