George Washington in 1776
Join author Jeffry Finegan as he interviews General George Washington during the events of 1776. With the ink of the Declaration of Independence still drying in Philadelphia, General Washington said that the time had come to "Conquer or Die” as he and the Continental Army prepare to go to war with Great Britain, in the City of New York.
Daniel Cross, a long-time historic interpreter, actor, and performer, focuses on the human story of George Washington, the good, the bad, and the complicated, and presents an interpretation of the General that connects well with modern audiences.
September 12, 2026: Programs will be offered at 10am and 2pm, each lasting 60-90 minutes with an opportunity to meet and greet. This event takes place at St. Lukes UCC in Belfast.
