Drawing on more than two decades of experience documenting America’s industrial and built landscapes through large-format and digital photography, Froio will explore his ongoing project focused on Pennsylvania’s Anthracite Coal Region, a place shaped by generations of extraction, labor, and reclamation. Through detailed fieldwork and visually rich imagery, the lecture examines the evolving relationship between industry and community, revealing a landscape marked by memory, loss, and renewal.
