Harvest Festival at Quiet Valley

Come celebrate the fall season at Quiet Valley's Harvest Festival! Quiet Valley is a Pennsylvania German farm museum that is frozen in time around the mid-to-late 1800s. Costumed volunteers demonstrate everything from butter making to weaving. The Bake Oven is fired up to offer fresh-baked bread with homemade butter or apple butter (or both!). Enjoy the chicken BBQ and other homemade treats in the Food Tent and take in all the displays from dipping candles to making soap. Listen to folk music by live musicians with their dulcimers and other stringed instruments. Wagon rides are available (weather permitting) and the Schoolhouse is open, so you can meet the school marm. Timeless Treasures offers gently used household items and jewelry, and Everlastings produces beautiful dried flower "halos" to crown the heads of all the ladies, young and old. There's old-time games for the children, and pony rides are available. There's even a Civil War encampment, plus much, much more! Harvest Festival is Quiet Valley's biggest fundraiser of the year, so come on down to the farm and help support this non-profit historical farm museum.
