– The Piedmont Park Conservancy announced today that tickets are now on sale for its 29th Annual Landmark Luncheon, taking place April 23, 2026 at The Promenade at Piedmont Park. Building on last year’s unveiling of the Park’s first Comprehensive Plan in 25 years, this year’s event will showcase the meaningful progress already underway and the measurable impact taking shape across Atlanta’s most visited green space. With the theme “Putting the Plan in Motion: Progress, Impact and What Comes Next,” the 2026 Landmark Luncheon will celebrate completed projects, expanded programming and major steps forward in the Park’s long-term expansion and stewardship efforts. Over the past year, the Conservancy has delivered significant enhancements, including: • Renovation of the Pool and Aquatic Center • Resurfacing the Active Oval • Installation of a new garden at the 10th Street Entrance • Restoration of Legacy Fountain • Installation of Myriad, a permanent public piece • Expanded public programming, with summer camp reaching full capacity • Seven-day-a-week Park coverage through expanded operations staffing • New Saturday volunteer stewardship opportunities • Launch of inaugural “Light Up the Season” holiday celebration • Completion of design work and active permitting for Phase I of the Park expansion, including a new maintenance facility • Initial rollout of Park expansion capital campaign Nearly 600 guests are expected to attend the premier fundraising event, which directly supports the Conservancy’s work to preserve, protect and enhance Piedmont Park for generations to come. “Last year, we shared a bold vision for the future of Piedmont Park,” said Doug Widener, President and CEO of Piedmont Park Conservancy. “This year, we’re proud to demonstrate that vision in action. From infrastructure improvements to expanded programming and environmental stewardship, we are turning planning into progress that benefits millions of Piedmont Park visitors each year.” Landmark Luncheon will also provide an update on the Seeds for the Future initiative, focused on strengthening the Park’s tree canopy. In the past year, the Conservancy has pruned more than 400 native trees, established a comprehensive three-year tree care plan and implemented a succession strategy in partnership with Trees Atlanta to ensure long-term canopy health. Proceeds from Landmark Luncheon support critical maintenance, meaningful stewardship and innovative programming that sustain the Park's vitality and accessibility for generations to come. Sponsorship and ticket opportunities are available. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit piedmontpark.org and connect with Piedmont Park Conservancy on Facebook and Instagram.
