The Jersey Shore Remembers 1776 Art Exhibit and Reception Coming to the LBI Library


SURF CITY – Stop by and meet various artists of the Jersey Shore from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 16 at the Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library. Their exhibit The Jersey Shore Remembers 1776 will be available to view in the branch’s meeting room throughout the months of September and October. This exhibit showcases landmarks and events during 1776 at the Jersey Shore in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. It includes paintings, photos, maps, and collections about the heroes of the Jersey Shore by local artists, photographers, historians, and collectors. Additionally, local poets from the LBI Poets’ Studio will showcase and distribute their poetry depicting these historical events in pamphlet form. Light refreshments will be served at the reception.
