The 2026 event will be held at Elite Training Academy, offering more space and amenities for both competitors and guests. Attendees can sample food from competing teams, vote for their favorites, and enjoy plenty of food, cocktails and beer, live music, fun jumps and face painting, making Belly Up with the Bar a family-friendly event and a favorite on the legal community’s calendar. Sponsorships, team entries, and individual tickets are now available.
“Belly Up with the Bar is a celebration of creativity, competition, and community,” said Chris Vidrine, Chair of the Belly Up with the Bar Committee. “It gives law firms and local businesses a chance to connect with one another in a fun, informal setting while supporting programs like Mock Trial and Teen Court that have a real, lasting impact on young people in our region.”
Proceeds from the event benefit the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation (BRBF), with significant support directed to its Mock Trial and Teen Court programs. The BRBF coordinates the Region III High School Mock Trial competition, serving 96 schools across 12 parishes, and providing students with hands-on experience that builds public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and advocacy skills. Through Teen Court, first-time, non-violent juvenile offenders are given the opportunity to be held accountable by a jury of their peers in a voluntary diversion program that emphasizes responsibility, restorative justice, and positive decision-making, an approach proven to reduce repeat offenses and promote long-term success.
Belly Up with the Bar 2026 offers a unique opportunity to enjoy great food, support local businesses and law firms, and invest in programs that educate and empower the next generation.
