BCBSMA Helps Riders Celebrate Boston 250 and Fourth of July Festivities with Free Bluebike credits!

WHAT: In celebration of Boston 250, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Blue Cross), title sponsor of Bluebikes and sponsor of Boston 250, is offering free $5 Bluebikes credits to help residents and visitors participate in major Boston 250 events and Fourth of July celebrations, including the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. Riders can also look for 250 limited-edition Boston 250 bikes featuring three custom designs inspired by healthier people, healthier communities and a healthier environment. Blue Cross has been Bluebikes’ title sponsor since the 2018 inception of the publicly owned bike share program, which is owned by the 13 participating municipalities and operated by Lyft. WHEN: June 28, while supplies last HOW: Beginning June 28, riders can receive a free $5 Bluebikes credit by entering BCBSMABOSTON250 in the “Rewards” section of the Bluebikes app. The credit is available while supplies last and can be used for classic and ebikes across the system’s 550 stations in 13 municipalities: Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Newton, Revere, Salem, Somerville, and Watertown.
