13th Annual Academy Awards Film Series--"Weapons"
Weapons will be the 5th film in the 13th Annual Academy Awards Film Series at the Englewood Library on Thursday, May 14, at 2 p.m. in the library’s Room 2. The program is free and open to the public. Because space is limited, those who register will have priority. Registration can be found at bccls.libcal.com/event/16595581. The film series will continue each Thursday through May 28 at 2 p.m.
In this film, when all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.
Weapons received one Academy Award nomination, winning for Best Supporting Actress (Amy Madigan) The film stars Josh Brolin, Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich. Weapons is rated R, and the running time is 128 minutes.
