Mozart’s Requiem, written in the last weeks of his life and left uncompleted at his death, attained legendary status almost immediately upon its completion. Full of vivid spectacle and melting tenderness, it acknowledges the terror and sorrow of death, while leaving the listener with tremendous comfort and hope.
Brick Church offers Mozart’s music, performed in a worship service, to the New York community, as a space where all can bring their grief and loss, pray for the world, and experience healing.
