The Connor Cared Memorial Fund is inviting community members to come together in support of mental health awareness at the upcoming Hike for Mental Wellness, taking place this Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park.
The family-friendly event aims to raise awareness, foster meaningful conversations about mental health, and support programs and resources that help individuals and families facing mental health challenges.
Founded in memory of Connor Smail, the Connor Cared Memorial Fund was established to honor Connor's compassionate spirit and his commitment to helping others. The organization is dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health while empowering individuals with the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
"Connor believed deeply in helping others, even when he was facing his own struggles," said Michael Smail. "This event is an opportunity for our community to come together, support one another, and continue Connor's mission of promoting mental wellness and ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey."
