Food For All 2026,

Groundwork Market Garden and its nonprofit partner, Fare Share WNY, will celebrate a decade of growing food and community on Buffalo’s East Side with Food For All 2026, a 10th anniversary celebration and barnraiser on Friday, November 20, 2026, at Kleinhans Music Hall. For the past decade, Groundwork Market Garden has grown more than fresh, organic produce. From its urban farm on Genesee Street, Groundwork has created a place where neighbors can shop for locally grown food, learn, volunteer, gather, and connect. Together with Fare Share WNY, Groundwork has also worked to expand food access and strengthen Buffalo’s local food system through community programs, partnerships, and events. Food For All 2026 will bring together more than 300 community members, supporters, partners, elected officials, food system leaders, and advocates to celebrate what has been built over the past 10 years and help launch Groundwork’s next chapter. The evening will raise funds for the construction of a permanent community barn at Groundwork Market Garden, with a goal of raising $50,000 toward the project. Groundwork has already received a $30,000 award through the New York State Urban Farms and Community Gardens Grant Program and is now inviting businesses, organizations, and community members to help bring the project across the finish line. The new pavilion will provide a permanent, weather-protected home for Groundwork’s farmers market, educational programming, volunteer projects, workshops, and community gatherings. The space will allow Groundwork and Fare Share WNY to expand opportunities for fresh food access, hands-on learning, and community connection on Buffalo’s East Side. “When we started Groundwork 10 years ago, our goal was to grow good food in our neighborhood. Over the years, the farm has become so much more than that. It has become a place where people shop, learn, volunteer, share meals, and build relationships. This pavilion is an investment in making sure there is a permanent space for that work to continue and grow for the next decade.” - Mayda Pozantides, Co-Founder & Owner at Groundwork Market Garden Food For All 2026 will celebrate the people, partnerships, and community that have made Groundwork’s first decade possible while raising critical funds for its future. Businesses and organizations are invited to participate through event sponsorships and donations. Community members can support the project by attending the event, contributing to the fundraiser, and helping spread the word.
