Antônio Carlos Jobim, a dynamic force behind the creation of the bossa nova style, was a Brazilian composer who is often called the “Father of Bossa Nova.” In the 1960’s, with the help of important American artists, he merged bossa nova with jazz to create an innovative and highly popular sound. Jobim’s compositions have since been recorded and performed internationally by hundreds of singers and instrumentalists. Hear them performed with style and artistry at the Pausa Art House.
