In this month’s featured presentation, “Exciting New Therapies in Lung Cancer,” Dr. Liliana Bustamante will share what new therapies are being developed in lung cancer treatment and how this will change the trajectory of those living with the disease.
As she puts it, “Never give up! New treatments are around the corner every day!”
Dr. Bustamante is a medical oncologist and hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Lee County. A native Spanish speaker, Dr. Bustamante has a keen interest in clinical research and has presented at many medical conferences. She has also contributed to several books and has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Throughout her career, Dr. Bustamante has volunteered in her local community and beyond, including serving as a leader for medical missions in Ecuador and helping co-found a nonprofit organization serving children in her native country of Colombia. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and watching the Florida Gators! NOTE: Registration required
