Calligraphy Workshop with Gibbs Elliott Calligraphy
Join local calligrapher, Gibbs, to learn the basics of traditional pointed pen calligraphy! This workshop is designed for beginners and no calligraphy experience is required. This workshop is great for anyone who wants to dive into calligraphy but doesn’t know where to start, or anyone who just wants a fun few hours learning a new skill with friends!
With your ticket, you will receive:
– 2 hours of instruction by Gibbs
– Supplies: 1 pen holder, 2 nibs, black ink, tracing paper for practice
– Worksheets and lowercase alphabet exemplar for continued practice at home
– Set of 5 valentine cards and envelopes to create personalized stationery
By the end of this workshop you will:
– Understand the foundations of pointed pen calligraphy, including how to use a calligraphy pen.
– Be proficient in the basic calligraphy strokes that are the building blocks of the alphabet.
– Have the confidence, resources, and encouragement to continue practicing at home!
Reservations required. Classes with insufficient enrollment may be canceled. Students will be notified in advance and full refunds or the opportunity to transfer to another workshop will be offered. Student cancellations must be requested 48 hours in advance for a refund minus a $10 administration fee. Full registration fee may be transferred to a future workshop or other adult program. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will result in a forfeiture of the workshop fee.
