The Cleveland Silent Film Festival presents a free screening of the 1925 film HIS PEOPLE at the Cleveland Public Library Main Auditorium as part of the film series "Cleveland Silent Film Festival at CPL: Celebrating 100 Years." The film is a sensitive portrayal of Jewish family life on the Lower East Side as they struggle with cultural assimilation. Shown in a restoration by the National Center for Jewish Film and accompanied by an original klezmer-infused score by Alexander Fedoriouk, cimbalom, Steven Greenman, violin, and Catalin Petruscu, double bass. The event will be followed by a free reception. Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium, Cleveland Public Library, 525 Superior Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114, 3:00 PM. Free admission. Parking: Huntington Building Garage, 777 Rockwell and ABM Rockwell Garage are the nearest parking garages. Please note that street parking is free on the weekends!
