Joybound People & Pets Fun Run & Walk
Join us for Joybound’s first-ever Tails on the Trail: Fun Run & Walk, where every step supports shelter animals on their journey to loving homes and helps expand access to veterinary care, pet food assistance, and community-based resources across the region.
Cost: $25 Adults | $15 Youth (under 18) – Includes a commemorative event shirt!
Whether you're jogging solo, walking with your pup, or making it a morning out with family and friends, this event is a joyful way to move your body while making a difference. It’s not just about crossing the finish line, it’s about creating healthier communities, one stride at a time. For the safety of all guests and animals, pets must be securely leashed or harnessed with their guardians in full control at all times. Proceeds from the Fun Run and Walk help fund essential Joybound programs.
Choose from two scenic but approachable routes:
• 1-Mile Community Walk – A relaxed, family- and pet-friendly route perfect for all ages
• 3.1-Mile / 5K Run – A fun, longer course for those looking to pick up the pace!
Cross the finish line and head straight into the fun!
The walk/run finishes at the entrance to our Unleash the LOVE: Festival & Adopt-a-thon (11 AM – 3 PM), a free (please RSVP) community event featuring:
• Adorable adoptable pets from 20+ shelters and animal organizations
• Live music from local bands
• Food trucks, a beer and wine garden, and artisan vendors
• Free ice cream, popcorn, games, crafts, and glitter face painting
• Expert Q&As with veterinarians and trainers
• Opportunities to get involved by fostering, volunteering, or donating
