FREE EVENT: ADDRESS SHARED UPON RSVP- HELD IN PRIVATE RESIDENCE Our March Voices at the Table rises in full crescendo as we proudly welcome David “Excalibur” Camper — Bay Area rapper, producer, poet, and the first-ever Poet Laureate of Suisun City, as our featured guest artist. As well as Monica Chew, Acclaimed pianist and composer to the table this month. This is a must attend event and a rare opportunity to here black composer Fred Onovwerosuoke piano works perform live by Monica. Her performance is powerful and exquisite. With a fierce passion for authenticity and a fearless willingness to stand apart, Excalibur breathes life into every stage he enters. His voice does not simply speak — it moves like rhythm itself, each word striking with the clarity of percussion, each silence charged with meaning. Born in Vallejo, California, and rooted in Suisun City, Excalibur began his artistic journey at just fifteen years old, composing rap verses and short stories — early notes in what would become a powerful and evolving artistic symphony. His creative path expanded during his collegiate years at Jackson State University, where he became a member of the MADDRAMA Performance Troupe and the Outspoken Arts Collective, refining his voice and deepening his presence as a performer. Now a Master’s graduate of UC Berkeley, Excalibur performs across the Bay Area with commanding presence and unmistakable originality. As Suisun City’s first Poet Laureate, he stands as both messenger and musician of language, transforming lived experience into sound, memory into movement, and truth into living breath. In March, Voices at the Table becomes the instrument. Excalibur becomes the pulse. And together, we witness poetry not merely spoken — but performed, lived, and heard in its full, unforgettable music. Monica Chew (she/her) is an Oakland-based composer and pianist.
