Pianist Chun-Syuan Wei presents an evening of classical piano music featuring works by Beethoven, Stephen Hough, and Maurice Ravel. The program includes Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 17 in D Minor, Op. 31, No. 2, “Tempest”; Stephen Hough’s Sonata for Piano (broken branches); and Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin, M. 68.
The recital explores dramatic contrast, musical color, memory, and expressive storytelling through three distinctive piano works spanning the Classical, contemporary, and French Impressionist traditions.
Dr. Wei is a pianist and educator based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. He recently completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of North Texas. His performances combine structural clarity, expressive depth, and a refined sense of sound color.
This public recital will take place at Kawai Gallery (Plano), offering audiences an intimate live performance experience in the Dallas–Fort Worth arts community.
