Music in the Galleries: Masakazu Ito, Classical Guitar
The performances are included with Museum admission and are free for CSM members. One of today’s premier guitarists, Ito is acclaimed by musicians, composers, conductors, and critics for his mastery of the instrument and its repertoire. His program features highlights from Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s towering masterpiece, Suite Platero y Yo, Op. 190, based on poetic sketches written by Juan Ramón Jiménez.
No registration is required; walk-ins are welcome! Music in the Galleries concerts are family-friendly introductions to live music. Attendees are welcome to sit, stand, wiggle, and walk through the galleries while enjoying the music. Seating is limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the music can be enjoyed from any gallery.
