Collective Voices: On Creativity and Resilience


ProjectArt invites you to the opening reception of Collective Voices: On Creativity and Resilience featuring new works by local Detroit artists Marigrace Francis, Genevieve Klick, Mars McCuiston and Cat Washington and their students from Detroit Public Library locations, Elmwood Park, Lincoln, Main and Sherwood Forest. Developed through ProjectArt’s library-based residency program, the exhibition highlights parallel practices in teaching and making. Please join us to view the work and celebrate the conclusion of this year’s residency. ProjectArt is a national award-winning arts education nonprofit that partners with public libraries to provide free, afterschool art classes for underserved youth while supporting practicing artists through residencies.
