Mimir Chamber Music Festival

Mimir is thrilled to present the world premiere of A Free People for String Quartet and Narrator by Kian Ravaei on July 3. The work commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Mimir is the lead commissioner in a three-way partnership with James Enhnes/Seattle Chamber Music Society and the Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival. Former Dallas Channel 5 anchorman Mike Snyder will narrate. Mimir concerts feature an all-star cast including celebrated pianist Alessio Bax, the Horszowski Trio and familiar faces from the Chicago, Kansas City and Houston symphonies and The Cleveland Orchestra. Mimir Artists concerts are July 1, 3, 5, 8, and 10. All performances start at 7:00pm, except for July 5, which is a 2:00pm matinee. Emerging Artists concerts are July 2 and July 9, at 7:00pm. Continuing Mimir’s tradition of providing an incredible educational experience for up-and-coming musicians, Mimir welcomes three dynamic Emerging Artists ensembles, including the Trio Eris, top prize winners at the 2025 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition; the Kite Quartet from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music; and the Cong Quartet, prize winners at the 2025 Banff International String Quartet Competition. Since its beginning in 1998, Mimir has presented over 200 exceptional concerts by its renowned Mimir Artists and has mentored some 500 talented young Emerging Artists worldwide.
