Celebrate spring at the 42nd Annual Pickens Azalea Festival, one of the Southeast’s largest and most popular arts and crafts festivals. Held in downtown Pickens, this two-day event draws more than 55,000 visitors each year for a weekend full of fun, food, and entertainment. Browse over 350 artisan vendors featuring handmade goods, shop local, and enjoy delicious options from 30+ food vendors. The festival also includes carnival rides, live music, and a variety of family-friendly activities for all ages. Friday (6–10 p.m.) Kick off the weekend with one of the Southeast’s largest cruise-ins, featuring hundreds of classic cars, hot rods, Jeeps, and 4x4 vehicles. Live music performances include Benton Blount at 6 p.m. and Eaglewing at 8 p.m. Saturday (10 a.m.–10 p.m.) Enjoy a full day of entertainment starting with opening ceremonies, followed by live music throughout the day. Highlights include the husband calling contest, pie baking contest, and the Carolinas’ largest pet pageant with over 100 animals. Additional performances feature Mountain Bridge Band, Cliff Wheeler Band, No Speed Limit, and Gimme Back My Skynard. The festival also hosts a community 5K and supports more than 50 nonprofit organizations each year, making it a true celebration of the local community.
