The event will begin with a Ministry Expo from 4:30 to 6:15 pm consisting of displays by a mix of about 30 Connecticut-based Christian ministries, complemented by live instrumental music by The Bennett Family and appetizers. Opening praise and worship will start at 6:15 pm led by the In His Service (IHS) Praise Band, followed by an invocation by Rev. Steve Rocco with Pillar of God Church in Windsor. During the family style dinner, music will be provided by an a cappella quartet, The Brothers That Love The Lord, and recorded Dinner Concert music compiled by WIHS Broadcast Director Neil Knudsen. Drew Crandall, President of Connecticut Radio Fellowship, will give an exciting update on the station.
The keynote address by Bonnie Sala, President of GUIDELINES, will be on The Essentiality of Evangelism. GUIDELINES has been broadcast on WIHS since the station went on the air in 1969. Bonnie’s father Harold was the keynote speaker during the station’s 50th anniversary Gala in 2019. Robin Hansen, WIHS Office Manager and On-Air Announcer, will then share inspirational listener testimonies and Matt Harper, WIHS General Manager, will present the partnership/fundraising appeal. In His Service will lead the assembly in singing Great Is Thy Faithfulness, followed by a benediction by Joel Cruz with the Urban Alliance in East Hartford. The Ministry Expo will reopen from 9:15 to 9:30 pm so attendees can make last-minute connections and take home helpful exhibitor information.
