Manu o Kū Festival
Come join us for free family friendly fun to celebrate the Manu o Kū, or white tern, the official bird of the City & County of Honolulu. As the terns nest in the trees overhead, come celebrate these amazing birds that call our urban Honolulu home. We will have community organization booths ready to engage with crafts and activities for all, plus musical entertainment, hula performance, and an engaging speaker series. We will also see the return of our costume characters and kids nature themed costume contest. On site, you can sign up for a bird walk or view the terns through spotting scopes set up throughout. Event is from 10am-2pm on the 'Iolani Palace coronation lawn on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
