Give Thanks Family Fun Walk & Cook-Off
The inaugural Give Thanks Family Fun Walk & Cook-Off is a family-friendly, gratitude-themed experience created just for walkers.
Guests will enjoy:
- Bites of Thanks Cook-Off – local chefs and home cooks compete with Thanksgiving-inspired bites, judged by both influencer judges and VIP attendees.
- 1-Mile Interactive Nature Walk – cultural art stations, gratitude activities, family fitness challenges, and wellness stops.
- End Zone Celebration – live music, vendors, turkey giveaways, and family fun.

Why it Matters:
Nearly 100,000 preschool-aged children in and around Houston lack consistent access to healthy food. Every $2 raised provides a meal and delivery. The Give Thanks Family Fun Walk & Cook-Off aims to cover one entire day of service for Kids’ Meals — 9,000 meals across 56 zip codes.

Call for Contestants: Enter the Bites of Thanks Cook-Off
The event is actively seeking contestants for the Bites of Thanks Cook-Off. Anyone with a passion for cooking — whether a home chef, foodie, or professional — can enter. Categories include Main Dish, Stuffing, Side, and Dessert, and contestants are asked to bring 75 tasting bites and 3 plated servings for judges. Serving plates will be provided
Entry requires a donation of any amount to Kids’ Meals (suggested $30), with applications due by October 25th, 2025.
Three winners will receive recognition, prizes, and bragging rights as the community’s favorite holiday dish.
