Record Sealing Clinic and Resource Fair
The Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area and Workforce Connections will be hosting a Record Sealing Clinic & Resource Fair in Pulaski County with Lion Legal providing legal services. TRIO Educational Opportunity Center will be providing educational resources and assisting. The event will be held at the St. Paul Baptist Church, 2603 Commerce Street in Little Rock on July 11th from 10am - 1pm.
What is criminal record sealing?
Sealing a criminal record hides it from the public and most background checks, but it doesn't erase it. This can make finding jobs and housing easier, allowing you to legally state that you haven't been convicted or arrested. Note that law enforcement and certain agencies can still access it.
What to bring?
Bring a copy of the sentencing order/disposition sheet. You can get this from the court where you were sentenced.
A completed Arkansas State Police Individual Record Request Form found attached to this email. Note: there is a $25 fee for the background check. https://cbc.ark.org/
State issued identification (Drivers license or ID).
If you do not bring these, we may only be able to assist you with information and resources on the day of the event!!!
