MacKenzie Center Maple Festival and Pancake Breakfast


POYNETTE – Join us for the MacKenzie Center Maple Festival on April 4 from 9am-2pm. Sponsored by the Friends of the MacKenzie Education Center, the festival is free to attend and located just two miles east of Poynette at County Roads CS and Q. The day starts with a pancake breakfast from 8am-Noon by Lake Wisconsin Lions Club. Pancake breakfast tickets are $10 for ages 13 and older, $5 for children ages 5–12, and free for children under 5. CASH ONLY. All proceeds go to The Friends of MacKenzie. There will be a variety of fun activities for all ages celebrating the heritage of maple syrup production: - Guided tours of the sugarbush - Demonstrations showing how maple trees are tapped and how sap is boiled into syrup - Interpretive talks explaining how Indigenous peoples and early pioneers produced maple syrup - Horse-drawn wagon rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Live music by the Erich Mobley Duo - Maple Scavenger Hunt for kids and their families – win a prize! - Quilt raffle and 50/50 raffle drawing at noon - Explore the MacKenzie Center wildlife area, logging museum, and scenic hiking trails Pure Wisconsin maple syrup from Bauer Valley Maples available for sale along with hand-dipped ice cream topped with maple syrup.
