Cycropia at Orton Park Festival
Cycropia Aerial Dance proudly brings its magical blend of dance and circus arts to the 2024 Orton Park Festival in a performance of spectacular works beneath the stars! Audiences will have two chances to see this FREE, donation-supported performance, Friday, August 23rd, at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, August 24th, at 8:30 pm.
Using single-point trapeze, aerial ladders, flying pole, straps, stilts and other custom-designed aerial apparatus, dancers will play with gravity and verticality as they perform on Cycropia’s custom-designed, free-standing aerial rig.
Cycropia has been performing at the Orton Park Festival for over 30 years, creating a Madison community dance tradition. The show is appropriate for all ages.

NOTE ON PERFORMANCE SEATING: Bring a blanket and a picnic! Seating is first come, first served. To assure best visibility for all attendees, we ask that you refrain from placing lawn chairs in the area in the front section of seating — from the line of our tech tent to the stage. Stadium seats or low chairs (< 8” off the ground) welcome in this area for guests desiring added support and/or comfort.
