Recycle the Warmth Blanket Drive

MADISON — In partnership with News 3 Now, Mid-West Family Madison and American Printing Company, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul — Madison will hold its 34th annual Recycle the Warmth Blanket Drive January 31st – February 1st, 2026. The drive encourages community members to donate new and gently used bedding, blankets and sheets, which will be distributed to low-income families throughout the year. “Everyone deserves warm and clean blankets,” Julie Bennett, CEO & Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul – Madison, said. “Whether folks move to Dane County without furniture, are fleeing domestic violence, have lost their belongings, or simply can’t afford these basic essentials, we’re happy to provide bedding, blankets and sheets so everyone can sleep soundly.” The Madison-area community can help families in need by donating blankets or making a monetary gift to the Recycle the Warmth Blanket Drive. There are two ways to help: 1. Drop off blankets at any Dane County St. Vinny’s Thrift Store or participating church between January 31st – February 1st. A list of drop-off sites can be found at https://svdpmadison.org/rtw/ 2. Make a monetary donation to purchase new blankets at https://svdpmadison.org/rtw/ In 2025, St. Vincent de Paul – Madison distributed blankets and bedding valued at around $98,000 to 900 families in need.
