Movie in the Park & American Car Show/Parade
Which should we talk about first? The awesome movie, the fact that we are back at Fountain Park, or the parade of American cars!? There's so much to cover! Let's start where we always should, then, with Nicholas Cage.
That's right, we are bringing Nicholas Cage to a 40ft movie screen near you, Fountain Park to be exact. Join us for the most unique movie-watching experience you can get, with the tallest fountain in the US serving as your backdrop. We will be showing National Treasure in honor of our Nation's 250th birthday. The movie will start a little after sunset, sometime between 7:10 and 7:40 pm. Start time will be dictated by light levels.
As if that wasn't enough, there will also be a jaw-dropping parade of uniquely American cars starting at 5:30pm. The parade will start at Phil's Filling Station, travel up Parkview, over to Palisades, down around the park, up and back down the Avenue of the Fountains, and then park on Saguaro for a great 'Merican Car Show. Brought to you by the FH Auto Club.
The Daughters of the American Revolution, dressed in period costumes, will lead the parade on horses. Cars will be lined up red, white, and blue, and are going to fly the flag and display other patriotic items.
