Arizona’s Opioid Epidemic: Best Practices in Education, Prevention, and Treatment
On September 10, Dr. Daniel E. Brooks, medical toxicologist, will discuss the impact of opioids and other drugs on Arizonans’ health and safety. Learn about:
• Current data on the opioid crisis
• Novel opioid agents and testing methods
• Intervention resources and biosurveillance tools
• Arizona Opioid Assistance and Referral (OAR) Line
And on September 18, join our Day of Action for Trauma Informed RX360 Substance Misuse Training (a virtual and in-person training).This training will help you:
• Understand how trauma affects the brain
• Learn the connection to substance misuse
• And how to use Narcan to reverse an overdose
Participants will receive:
• a medication disposal kit
• medication lock bag
• and a supply of Narcan
