Wynwood Dog Days: A Free Dog-Friendly Community Celebration in Miami
Wynwood Dog Days brings Miami dog lovers together for a free morning of contests, adoptions, pet-friendly activities and community fun, along with a first look at the future Wynwood dog park site.
Hosted by the Wynwood Business Improvement District and presented with D.O.G. Hotels Wynwood, the inaugural event takes place Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at 29 NW 28th Street.
Guests can meet adoptable dogs aboard the Miami-Dade Animal Services Hope Express, learn more about pet adoption and meet K-9 Claudine, a bloodhound with the City of Miami Police Department. Officers will also present a live K-9 patrol demonstration showcasing the training and skills of the department's canine teams.
Dog owners are invited to enter the Wynwood Dog Days Contest, with winners selected by audience applause. Categories include:

Waggiest Tail
Ugliest (Most Adorable) Dog
Surprise categories
Contest registration is free and takes place on site.
Prizes include a complimentary two-night stay at Moxy Miami Wynwood, a $150 Auratherapy gift card, a FunDimension Family Package valued at $169, treat baskets from Wild Instinct Pet and a boarding package from D.O.G. Hotels Wynwood.

Participating food and treat partners include Wynwood Dog Food Co., Paris Baguette, Cielito Artisan Pops, Voodoo Doughnut, Cotidiano and The Baked Bear.
The event will also give residents, visitors and local businesses their first look at the site of a future Wynwood dog park, envisioned as a new green gathering space with shaded seating and a dedicated area for dogs.
Wynwood Dog Days is free and open to the public. Bring your dog, bring your family and friends, and spend the morning celebrating Miami's four-legged community while getting an early look at what is planned for this future Wynwood neighborhood space.
All dogs must remain leashed and under the supervision of their owners throughout the event.
