Pancake Breakfasts at River Bend Nature Center

“Sugarin’ Off” Pancake Breakfasts at River Bend Nature Center It is once again time to tap the trees, collect the sap, cook the syrup, and dive into a stack of fluffy pancakes with all the trimmings. River Bend Nature Center will host the springtime tradition of “Sugarin’ Off” Pancake Breakfasts to celebrate the maple sugar harvest. Sunday breakfasts are scheduled for the first four Sundays in March, and will be served from 8:00am – 12:00pm. Enjoy as many warm, buttery homemade pancakes as you like, with 100% pure Wisconsin maple syrup and a variety of toppings, along with sizzling sausage, orange juice, coffee, tea, or milk. Skip the line...Reservations are encouraged! $15 adults / $10 children 10 and under / children under 3 free. Before or after your breakfast, take time to stroll through our sugarbush on a self-paced tour to observe demonstrations on how we tap sugar maple trees, and how the sap is reduced to syrup in our wood-burning evaporator. You are welcome to join in the fun if there’s sap to be collected. Tapping the maple trees, producing syrup, and enjoying the pancake breakfasts is a long-standing River Bend tradition, and the perfect way to experience nature’s transition from winter to spring. New this year! – As part of a Foxconn sponsorship, the first 100 children ages 3-10 will receive their breakfast FREE!!! This is first come, first serve, so make your reservations soon!
