The Snoop Dogg-starring BONES has emerged as one of the woefully misunderstood classics of its time. Panned upon its initial release back in 2001, this loving homage to blaxploitation films of the '70s is a treasure trove of creativity that doesn't skimp on social commentary. Directed with aplomb by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Ernest Dickerson (TALES FROM THE CRYPT: DEMON KNIGHT), BONES boasts genuinely empathetic turns from Dogg and genre vet Pam Grier.
