Winter Play Day
Explore, discover, learn and embrace winter during the inaugural Winter Play Day, an official Saint Paul Winter Carnival event. A variety of family-friendly outdoor activities will be offered. Representatives from local organizations will be on hand to help attendees try out equipment, learn helpful tips and ensure safe participation, including: • Guided hikes and outdoor photography sessions with National Park Service Rangers • Birding with Urban Bird Collective • Winter Sound Garden hosted by Wavelets Creative • Fat tire biking with Melanin in Motion • S’mores along the Mississippi River • Special appearance by Smokey Bear and the USDA Forest Service • Traditional winter activities with Wakan Tipi Awanyankapi • An opportunity to learn about the future River Learning Center from the design team • Exploring incredible outdoor adventure trips with Wilderness Inquiry
