Maple Grove, Minnesota: Plymouth Area Singing Resistance, a grassroots musical community in the Plymouth area, invites residents of all ages and backgrounds to come together in song at a Community Sing Along on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. The gathering will take place at Cross Winds United Methodist Church, 15051 Weaver Lake Road, Maple Grove, MN 55311.
This free, family‐friendly event is designed to strengthen community bonds through shared music, collective joy, and the simple act of raising voices together. No musical experience is required; all are welcome.
The Singing Resistance is a growing movement using collective song to protect and care for our communities in the face of rising authoritarianism. We will feature a two speakers and together, we’ll explore the history of singing as resistance and share how song can build courage, connection, and solidarity, grounded in love, nonviolence, and radical welcome.
In addition to the musical gathering, Plymouth Area Singing Resistance is partnering with the Wilson Foundation to support efforts to keep local families safely housed. All donations made during the event will be matched through the Wilson Foundation, doubling the impact of every contribution. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the initiative and contribute on-site or through the Wilson Foundation's online giving portal.
