Join the Vadnais Heights Community Action Network (VHCAN), in partnership with the City of Vadnais Heights, for the Third Annual Vadnais Heights Freedom Day Festival — a free, family-friendly community event celebrating Juneteenth, honoring Black history, and bringing residents together through music, food, art, and education.
Building on last year’s success, the 2026 festival will expand its offerings to include a new Black-Owned Vendor & Artist Market, an enhanced History & Education Center featuring Minnesota’s Black civil rights leaders, a Live Human Library, and a collaborative community art project led by a local Black artist. Attendees will also experience Bomba drumming, youth performances, stepping, hands-on art activities, family games, community resources, and culturally relevant food options.
The event is free and open to the public.
