In 2026, Andrew Jackson's Hermitage will join the nation in celebrating the 250th anniversary of America's founding by installing 1,776 flags on the grounds of the Hermitage. Flags can be purchased to be flown in honor of the donor, a person of their choosing, or in someone's memory. After three months on display at The Hermitage, each flag will be taken down and sent to the individual in whose honor or memory it was flown. As part of The Hermitage’s Path of Glory celebration, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee will visit the property on May 22 and deliver a keynote address. The display will be available for all Hermitage visitors to see while it is up through mid-July.
