Bluegrass Sensation Pitney Meyer Performing at Harken Hall With The Petersens July 18

Returning to Harken Hall Saturday, July 18, Pitney Meyer brings a powerful blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and authentic bluegrass storytelling. The duo—made up of Mo Pitney and John Meyer—was born from a longtime friendship and a shared passion for preserving the roots of bluegrass music. The concert also features The Petersens, an international touring family band. Pitney Meyer’s debut album, Cherokee Pioneer, captures that spirit in its purest form. Recorded entirely in an analog studio they built inside a historic 1837 log cabin—once owned by Johnny Cash—the project reflects a deep commitment to authenticity. Created in just three days, the album features standout musicians including five-time CMA Musician of the Year Jenee Fleenor, alongside Nate Burie (mandolin), Ivy Phillips (fiddle), and Blake Pitney (bass). Released in April 2025 on Curb Records, Cherokee Pioneer is a heartfelt tribute to the enduring traditions of bluegrass. Joining Pitney Meyer are The Petersens, an international touring family band known for their tight harmonies, engaging stage presence, and signature Ozark sound. Since gaining viral recognition in 2019, their music has reached audiences around the world, amassing hundreds of millions of views online. Comprised of siblings Katie, Ellen, Matt, and Julianne, along with their mother Karen and longtime friend Emmett Franz, The Petersens bring both musical precision and genuine warmth to every performance. They regularly perform at the Little Opry Theater in Branson, Missouri, and have released 11 albums spanning bluegrass, gospel, and holiday favorites. This one-night performance brings together two standout acts in modern roots music—offering an evening grounded in tradition, musicianship, and connection.
