The second annual Chester Folk Fest kicks off on Sunday, June 14, from noon to 5 p.m., at the Chester Meeting House. This year's fest will feature a lineup of 10 acts — duets, trios, and solo performers hailing from Maryland to Massachusetts — performing original compositions and arrangements in 30-minute sessions.
Music will spill out to the Green, where artisans will display their wares and food vendors will be on hand. Two free mini concerts for kids from Terri Lachance will take place at the Gazebo at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Bring a picnic and a blanket or chairs to enjoy the afternoon.
Attending Chester Folk Fest is FREE. For those who want to immerse in the Meeting House performances, tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family, with proceeds going to the Chester Historical Society's Save the Mill Fund. Visit chesterhistoricalsociety.org to purchase advance tickets, find parking information, and see the musical lineup.
