Guests will have the rare opportunity to meet Master Distiller David Bock, whose background blends operational expertise with a deep passion for whiskey. Before leading production at A. Smith Bowman, Virginia’s oldest and most award-winning distillery, David helped build the distilling program at the Sazerac House from the ground up. His experience includes sourcing raw materials, training distillation teams, launching bottling lines, and developing innovative production systems. He has also served as Head Distiller and founding member at NOLA Distilling and worked with Celebration Distillation in New Orleans.
Today, David continues the legacy of A. Smith Bowman while pushing boundaries through unique mash bills, distinctive barrel finishes, and limited experimental releases that are shaping the future of Virginia bourbon.
