You are invited to the 80th Annual Outland Trophy Award Dinner Sponsored by Werner Enterprises in Omaha Wednesday, January 21, 2025 at the Hilton Omaha Downtown. The evening honors the Outland Trophy winner and the Tom Osborne Legacy Award Winner and more!
Also appearing at the dinner for the 28th straight year will be the winners of Nebraska's football senior awards. Tom Novak Trophy, Guy Chamberlin Award, Cletus Fischer Native Son Award, and the Cornhusker Award.
Also back is the Tom Osborne Legacy Award. Many past outland winners have come back to Omaha to get their award and then we also have the Tom Osborne Legacy Award. The inaugural year - Milt Tenopir, from the University of Nebraska received the award. Other winners were Jim Ridlon from Syracuse University, Barry Switzer from Oklahoma, Bobby Bowden from Florida State, Frank Solich from the University of Nebraska and Ohio University. Five years ago was Fisher Deberry from the Air Force Academy, Bill Snyder from Kansas State, then past Husker and Outland Winner and Kansas City Chiefs NFL HOF Will Shields, and then former Husker and Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez, Dan Young former line coach at Nebraska and Reese Morgan - longtime line coach at Iowa. Last year ----- former Nebraska Coach - Charlie McBride received the Tom Osborne Legacy Award!
The Outland Trophy Semi-Finalists Announcement Reception will be held on Wednesday, Nov 19, 2025 at the Legend's Patio Grill in Aksarben in Omaha, Nebraska. Five-Seven Semi-Finalists will be announced Live from Omaha Nebraska.
