Speaker Series: Monticello - Three American Stories, One Mountaintop

Social hour: 5-6:30PM • Presentation, 6:30PM From his mountaintop home at Monticello, Thomas Jefferson helped conceive a nation through pen and public service. Yet, Monticello also reflects America's founding contradictions, including the lives of enslaved families like the Fossetts, whose resilience embodied the ongoing struggle for liberty and equality. Or the Levy family, who preserved Monticello while also fighting for their religious freedom guaranteed at the nation's founding. Join us to learn about these three inspiring stories about the pursuit of happiness from the Monticello mountaintop. Registration is required. Regular-admission rates apply.
