Promise Walk for Preeclampsia
On Saturday, May 16, the Preeclampsia Foundation will host its annual Promise Walk for PreeclampsiaTM at the Cocoa Village Civic Center in Melbourne. This event brings together families, healthcare professionals, and advocates to raise awareness about preeclampsia—a serious and potentially life-threatening pregnancy disorder—and to support education, research, and improved care for mothers and babies.
This year’s event will feature a powerful local story from Mission Family spokesperson Mijah Robinson, a midwife who experienced both preeclampsia and postpartum preeclampsia. Her experience underscores the importance of recognizing warning signs and improving maternal health outcomes in our community.
The event will also include guest speakers, family-friendly activities, local vendors, and opportunities for the community to connect with valuable resources.
