Space Coast Crew Banana Split Erg Sprints
The Banana Split Erg Sprints & Ergathon is a high-energy community rowing fundraiser hosted by Space Coast Crew at the boathouse. Named after the Banana River we call home—and the rowing term “splits”—the event brings athletes, families, and supporters together for fast-paced indoor rowing competition and fun, inclusive challenges.
Race events run from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and include individual sprint races, partner/doubles races, and special Parent–Child and fun heats, offering opportunities for experienced rowers and first-time participants alike. Heats are short, energetic, and run continuously to keep the event moving and engaging for both athletes and spectators.
Beyond the races, the event features tie-dye athlete shirts, food vendors, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle, creating a festival-style atmosphere that welcomes the entire community. Athletes may also participate in an Ergathon, rowing 500 meters to earn pledges in support of the team.
Proceeds from the Banana Split Erg Sprints directly support Space Coast Crew’s mission to create a positive, supportive environment where young athletes develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence through the sport of rowing.
